Good for the Gander Dept.
A new low point for America

It’s seems like only yesterday Chester and I sat down at Rudz to embark on a journey that would change our lives - or at least provide some kind of rationale for the amount of time we spent dicking around at work. We owe it all to you, disenchanted American youth. Without you guys, we wouldn’t occupy such a visible position on the D list. We. Are. So. Fucking. Proud.

Four beers later and we started a blog

Rudyard’s is a bar in Houston, Texas and happens to the place we’re sitting to write this post. It’s not a bad place to hang out should you find yourself in this City as we often do; it has wireless internet and Lone Star, which on Sunday nights is actually cheaper than water. These characteristics make Rudz a foolproof venue for the launch of an endeavor such as this one.

Being rather grandiose people, we have big plans for Culture Warrior. We believe that nothing is unrelated. We believe that art and policy are connected. We think that politics and celebrity gossip are impossibly interrelated. We see that the proliferation of blogs such as this one and the consolidation of the mainstream media are reacting forces: equal and opposite. We hope to be the Department of Connect-the-Dots.

So what that really means is that we have lots and lots of shit to make fun of. After all, this is war.

Tap Tap - The Reason I’m Here: Oh yeah. And we plan to try and share some music or something with you in every post. Something about it will relate to what we say. Then we’ll round up the music in a podcast (exciting). So anyway. This one should be pretty self-explanatory.
