Story of the day: Mom makes son play retard… for 20 years.
We sort of can’t believe this story we just found on ABC news.
A mother has been charged with making her son masquerade as a mentally retarded person for nearly 20 years. Now, federal prosecutors are cracking down on Rosie Marie Costello and her son, Peter, who may have bilked more than $220,000 from the government in fraudulent claims.
This kind of thing is, of course, is unconscionable. But, we have to say… Props. Mad props. It’s the start of Oscar season, after all. And in Hollywood, this kind of performance would be a sure-fire win, no matter how many movies George Clooney made in that given year.
