Dept. of Ironic Xenophobia:
Michelle Malkin can’t understand difference between illegal and legal immigrants

Oh, Michelle Malkin.

You and your rabid fear mongering about illegal immigration is the only thing that separates you from…well, actually, no other conservative wing nut. In fact, no one really knows who you are, unless they either 1) are a part of the 50 year-old to on-my-death-bed-in-rural-Missisippi-with-my-first-cousin/wife FOX News viewer demographic or 2) they prowl the media for immigrant-hating Filipino media vultures.

Malkin covered the first Spanish-language presidential debates held on Sunday and hosted by Univision, one of two leading Spanish-language networks in the United States. Did she tout the debate as a celebration of multicultural efforts to bridge cultures together in an attempt to promote a basic democratic function and right? Nah. Why do that when you can call it a failure and a joke?

More Malkin love after the jump.

Malkin wrote:

The WT’s Christina Bellatoni quotes one reporter complaining, “This is ridiculous.”

Well, yeah. What’s next: A Vietnamese language debate? Arabic, anyone?

Nonsense, you say? Well, hell, I needn’t remind you that there’s already Spanish language White House website.

Then there’s the idiocy of foreign-language ballots that I blogged about in July (did you know that “Hillary Clinton” in Chinese characters is “Upset Stomach?”).

Let’s break this down in Malkin-world: a significant amount of illegal immigrants speak Spanish natively. Democrats are participating at an event for native Spanish speakers. Therefore, Democrats are trying to get illegal immigrants to vote for them. Malkin and her lackeys seem to forget there is federal statute preventing illegal immigrants from voting.

Really, this isn’t even bigotry. It’s ignorance. She’s clouding a legitimate concern of proper dissemination of information for an upcoming election for a Spanish-speaking audience, a number of who are probably legal citizens, by confusing putting her illegal immigration bitching right next to her “English-only” moaning. And if Malkin herself isn’t ignorant, she’s definitely promoting it. Say her readers:

Learn English or go back where you came from … period …

allrsn said: yes, they are pandering to the illegal vote.

The saving grace is that now some native speakers are probably better informed than these wing-nut Malkinites.

But seriously: No seas torpe, Michelle.
