Folks like Al Gore make a big deal about global warming, but they always fail to mention the impact of animal agriculture on our environment. It's a fact that the number one cause of global warming is animal agriculture, not to mention it's the leading cause of topsoil corrosion, the leading cause of deforestation in the rain forests and on top of all of that it leaves us in fear of fun diseases like mad cow disease and avian flu. It's also true that over one-third of the land surface of the Earth is being used to graze livestock. That's insane. And it can only get worse as the population of the Earth increases, assuming these issues continue to go unaddressed. Anyway, I'm glad somebody is trying to bring attention to it, but it's unfortunate that it just happens to be the only organization in the United States that rivals Al Qaeda in unpopularity.
